You are 16 tomorrow at 7:59am I still remember the time. I remember the doctor dancing to calming music the moment you entered the world and I remember the joy you brought to our family from the day you arrived.

You are kind Ailbe. Like, really kind. You always give before taking and you make sure everyone is included.
You are artistic. You like to draw. Painting calms you down and ceramics is like a double whammy because you get to create and get sensory feedback at the same time.
You have an incredible smile. You smile with your whole face and you make us smile when you do. We just can’t get enough of happy Ailbe.
You are loyal. You never leave anyone behind and you still talk about friends who’ve come and gone because they were important to you.
You love music. Put on a Descendants movie playlist and you’ll see a side of you that many never see. It’s literally one of my favorite things to do.
You love to dance. Following up the music… you have rhythm and can dance to almost any beat while making everyone smile. Your guilty pleasure is Dance Moms reruns.
You are so funny. You have a sense of humor that only those who know you well get to see that silly side.
You are loving. You love so deeply you cry from emotional overwhelm. Your heart is so big it is enough for anyone to feel loved beyond measure.
You are goofy. You love to break the ice by making us all laugh randomly. You will dress up, take a risk and be silly when others can’t do that.
You are an amazing sister. While your little siblings take care of you a lot you are so loving to them and they just love their big sister immensely.

You have a random memory of unique facts and skills. You can name every Disney character and can tell us about every vacation we have been on.
You love water. Pool, ocean, lake… you love floating in the water and have always loved it.
You are brave. Brave beyond words Ailbe. I’ve said it before but not many people can say that in this stage of life they wake up have a cluster of seizures have to go back to bed from exhaustion and then wake up and go about their day like nothing happened. You battle more in those days than many battle ever. You are the bravest person I know.
You are a bright light. You represent all of these qualities above but your light is what shines the brightest. You teach us to let go and move on. You teach us a hard day can be changed and doesn’t have to stay hard.
Ailbe you mean the world to us. You have broken barriers, paved the way for other kids like you and you’ve achieved more than anyone ever said you would. We always knew you would and you will continue to. We love you so very much our darling rainbow baby. We pray for God’s protection over you every night.
